About our Founder

Advocate Mrs. Gauri Venkatraman, our esteemed founder, boasts an impressive legal career spanning over three decades at the Bombay High Court. With extensive expertise in civil law, commercial law, and service law, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice.

Mrs. Venkatraman began her legal journey in 1990, training under her father, the venerable senior advocate Shri R.B. Pendharkar. Throughout her illustrious career, she has argued numerous cases of constitutional and public significance, earning a reputation as a formidable legal mind.

Her leadership skills were recognized when she was elected Vice President of the High Court Bar Association, Nagpur, in 2017, and subsequently was nominated as the President  of the Bar in 2019. Under her guidance, the Bar navigated the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic with resilience and determination.

Mrs. Venkatraman has represented different departments under various ministries of the Government of India as the Central Government Standing Counsel, Bombay High Court. She has also been routinely representing reputed institutes such as CSIR-NEERI, WCL, and Amravati University. Further, she has been appointed in various capacities including Amicus Curiae and Coordinator in committees constituted by the Hon’ble Bombay High Court to address critical public issues like the conditions of government shelter homes and fatalities caused by high-tension wires. Moreover, as an effective mediator, she has been frequently serving on panels in Lok Adalats to help resolve disputes amicably.

Beyond her legal practice, Mrs. Venkatraman is committed to social justice, providing pro-bono legal services to underprivileged individuals and communities, particularly women and students.  In an effort to promote the cause of the student community, she serves as a nominated member of the Academic Council of Nagpur University.

In her personal life, Mrs. Venkatraman is an avid reader, a dedicated yoga practitioner, and has a deep love for gardening while being surrounded by her three pets – Daphne, Chewy, and Arya.
